Charleston, South Carolina is the perfect place for a relaxing retreat, surrounded by palm trees, antebellum mansions, cobblestone streets, and glamorous cocktail bars.
I suggest staying in the French Quarter, so you’re near everything there is to do. Nearby you can shop your heart out on King Street or take a horse and carriage tour of the many historical landmarks in Charleston.

Savannah, Georgia boasts the largest historic district in the US, and it can only be described as stunning which is why it makes the list as one of the best destinations for a girls’ weekend.
The entire downtown area has 18th-century homes lining city squares with tiered water fountains and bronze statues in the middle. Everywhere you look are ancient oak trees dripping with Spanish moss. In between are fabulous restaurants, great boutique shops, and important historical sites.
A girls-only trip has to include botanically-themed cocktails at the rooftop garden, Myrtle & Rose. Go for the bar’s exclusive weekend Jazz Brunch or go in the evening to enjoy the sunset over Downtown Savannah.
As one of the most haunted cities in America, a ghost tour of Savannah is a must! If you’re up for it, take a tour of the very beautiful and very haunted Sorrel Weed House on Madison Square.

For a fun Texas experience, grab your best suede fringe and cowboy boots and head to Austin. The girls will love a weekend road trip full of iconic experiences.
Go horseback riding at Lone Star Ranch, just south of Austin, where even beginners will have a blast on trail rides.

Enjoy a drink with your best girlfriends at Restoration Hardware, known for its glamorous interiors or at Cindy’s Rooftop for some of the city’s best scenery. For a little bit of luxury, why not take an afternoon tea? Fabulous spots include Palm Court at the Drake and Pavilion at The Langham.
Of course everyone needs to take a picture with the Bean in Millennium Park, but allow for extra time. The park also offers large green spaces, art installations, and more that you’ll want to explore (including the adjacent Maggie Daley Park)!
8. Las Vegas
Las Vegas is a great destination for a bachelorette party or even just a weekend where you let loose with your besties! Dress up and enjoy the party scene at all of the best nightclubs or play the slots in a fun setting at Paris Las Vegas. Both the spicy Magic Mike show at the SAHARA Las Vegas and Absinthe at Caesar’s Palace are great entertainment for a girls night out.
For the highest levels of relaxation (or hangover recovery) book a hotel with a fabulous spa. We recommend The Spa at Aria or AWANA Spa at Resorts World.
If your group likes a lively pool scene, consider a stay at The Cosmopolitan or Wynn Las Vegas.
Be sure to take a morning to walk along the Strip to see the Bellagio fountain, stunning resort lobbies (we like the Wynn, Caesar’s Palace, and Bellagio), and take a photo in front of the “Welcome to Las Vegas” sign (close to the Four Seasons hotel). We think you will love a girls trip to Las Vegas!

If you’re craving a warm-weather girl’s weekend, consider Santa Fe. Plan at least half a day to explore the downtown historic district.
Check out the Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi or the 17th-century San Miguel Chapel. While you’re in the area, enjoy dinner of New Mexican cuisine at The Shed or have tapas at La Boca.
Santa Fe is home to some of the best hot spring spas in New Mexico. I recommend Ten Thousand Waves at the foot of the Hyde Memorial State Park or enjoy the different pools at Ojo Santa Fe Spa Resort.
You can’t go wrong with a visit to the beautiful art museums in downtown Santa Fe, including the Museum of Contemporary Native Arts, the Georgia O’Keefe Museum, and the New Mexico Museum of Art.

If your group needs a digital detox on the East Coast, there’s no better place than Newport, Rhode Island. Retreat to this coastal town on Aquidneck Island, where you can enjoy the sound of the waves rolling in while you enjoy all the creature comforts.
Book an afternoon cruise of the harbor on a vintage lobster boat to truly immerse yourself in Newport’s history. See the iconic Kennedy Compound from the water while you sip on Del’s Lemonade.
Back on shore, take on the 3.5-mile-long Cliff Walk, a paved walkway that runs along the shoreline with great ocean views.
Or go on a trolley tour of the Gilded Age mansions and Breakers resort along the eastern shore. End your day at the Bodhi Spa in downtown Newport, where you can enjoy a soak in Roman baths.

Nashville is a must-visit for music lovers, with live entertainment venues lining Music Row! This popular spot had to make the list of destinations for a vacation with friends because they’re so much to see!
Don’t miss a visit to the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum and get your tickets for a performance at the intimate Bluebird Cafe or Grand Ole Opry.
Nashville is also home to lush, green outdoor spaces. Lining both sides of Nashville’s waterway through acres of parkland and surrounding the entire downtown region are 23 miles of paved greenway trails for pedestrians and cyclists. If you prefer to go on the river, you can take a kayaking tour to see downtown Nashville from a new perspective.
12. New York City
A trip with friends to NYC should begin with a stay at a Manhattan hotel. This will give you easy access to all the sites, just a short walk or a quick subway ride away! Stay at one of the luxury hotels along the edge of Central Park (we recommend The Quin or JW Marriott Essex House) or go with a boutique hotel in SoHo or the Village!
Make sure to have brunch at La Mercerie of the vegan-friendly Butcher’s Daughter. For a fun breakfast, stop at Ellen’s Stardust Diner where performers sing throughout your meal.
Half a day is enough to explore the mega stores at Times Square before seeing a Broadway Show. Top off your trip with a Frrrozen Hot Chocolate at Serendipity 3 or a cocktail at Lillie’s Victorian Restaurant.

Destinations for a Girls Weekend – International
15. Cabo San Lucas
A vacation in Mexico just might be one of our favorite girls weekend getaways. Two things are a requirement when you’re on a weekend in Cabo- hitting the beach and enjoying the great nightlife downtown.
I suggest booking a decadent all-inclusive oceanfront resort in Cabo, so you have access to restaurants, spa services, and private sandy beaches! For the best bars and dance floors, look around the marina in Cabo San Lucas. Check out Monkey Business Bar for great tequila and get your dance on at El Squid Roe.
16. London
For a girls trip to London, book a Victorian flat in Kensington or splurge on a luxury hotel in Westminster for the best views.
Plan on some big attractions while you’re here, like the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace or a tour of the breathtaking Westminster Abbey.
You won’t regret taking the ladies for high tea at the glamorous SoHo tearoom, Sketch. Or have cocktails at the very pink Tonight Josephine in Waterloo, where you’ll want to take selfies with the iconic neon signs!
17. Paris
Indulge in a very Parisian girls’ trip with mornings spent sipping coffee at street cafes and every afternoon walking this beautiful city. A girls’ trip to Paris is something you’ll be talking about for years to come!
Plan a food and wine tour of the bohemian Montmartre neighborhood and see the Eiffel Tower from an hour-long Seine River cruise.
Also, if you’re going to shop, Paris is the place to do it! Check out the designer stores along the Champs-Élysées or spend a few hours at Galeries Lafayette.
